Dave, is that first bird a Rose Breasted Grosbeak?

I have a friend in Mansfield, OH, and she spotted her first Rose Breasted Grosbeak this season just yesterday!

Her bird looks very much like your bird. That is so interesting that you, she, and now Scooterboy all spotted them on almost the same day!

I've never had either of those in my yard. Is the blue one an indigo bunting? I have the usual suspects, so I have to set out with the camera to see what else I can find. Rewarded today. Yellow Rumped Warbler. Passing through, or staying for the summer? I'll have to look it up.

Crawford: My bird companion that follows me whenever I'm outside. Crawford, who’s always present, communicates with me by making a bill clacking sound which is not too far from by pseudo crow calls. Crawford is shown here soaking his food before eating it. He’s an ugly bird but I like him (or her).

I've shared the photos I take at the local nature preserve with the organization that is responsible for my favorite places to watch. They want to show some of my photos at an open house next week. Not sure if they will just show a video loop on a computer or what, but I'm happy to oblige. I have shared quite a few with them, but have many more I can put on a flash drive if they want.

Fame, not fortune, and( not even sure how much fame) works for me.

I love the acrylic print I got from Costco.com of your streamlined cardinal. I still haven't put it up but I finally decided where it's going. I wanted it on a wall in the bathroom that is just not lit well so it's going on one that is 90 degrees to the original place and is brighter.

You can add us to that bus ride Scoots. First time I have ever seen one in our yard was yesterday morning, that is May 1st.

I'm glad you are happy with the photo, Patricia. I'm happy today too. Spotted a Yellow Warbler. (not in my yard though).
