That's a darn good through the window pic, Cone. Is that a sharp shined Hawk? I too love the markings!

Lost my post..I think. Blue jays are training me well. I added peanuts to the grocery list. I put out about 8-10 peanuts in the shell daily, then hang around the window if I have time. If I've moved on, I hear them announce their arrival but often I'm not quick enough to grab a shot. Here's one hoping I put out a few more peanuts....

Last night shortly after dusk, my wife returned from walking our dog to discover 2 deer using their noses to spill sunflower seed from the bird feeders. I wondered why the feeders emptied so quickly, so now I know! Guess I have to get a longer pole to hang them from.

I assume they open the shells to get out the nuts. Does it take long?

They usually just grab it and fly off.
