A sure sign that Thanksgiving is coming up.

Really? In your yard? Do they make a poopy mess? Do they dig into the plants or grass? What do they eat?

^ No mess. They don't hang out very long. They eat the bird seed that's on the ground around the feeders.

We've seen quite a few turkeys around, but not in our yard. Saw these birds today while out and about. Yellowlegs. Posted a photo in weekend thread as well. I'm getting the usual suspects in the yards. The snow birds should arrive soon. Hummingbirds are gone.

He doesn't look like he eats seeds.

I miss have my turkeys around that were outside my window at work. They knew I would always throw addition seed on the ground when they came around.

Birds have been missing for a bit... feeders lasting 2-3 days instead of one....

No hummingbirds in 6-7 days...

I miss our birds!

Do robins come back, migrating south like they come early migrating north in the spring? I have seen birds lately that look like robins but they've been moving and I was driving and I couldn't tell. I've got birds still at my feeder but no hummers.

We took down our hummer feeders. Yes, some Robins stay all winter in the north and some go south.

Same here. Not much activity even with the usual visitors. Hummingbirds left us about three weeks ago. The Gold finch are still on the thistle bags. I will keep those out until the weather starts to get more stormy. After that the thistle gets wet too often and I end up tossing it out. The gold finch are quite happy with sunflower seeds as well, so they will still be well fed.
