Very cool, Dave. Your comment on the deer eating the flowers making it tough for the hummers, you don't have a hummingbird feeder out there?

I'm going through a ton of thistle seed. I don't recall having so much waste on the ground in previous years There IS a "meat" in that seed correct? I always use thistle sock and was wondering if perhaps the seed is more fine that usual and maybe a lot is ending up on the ground when the wind is blowing the thistle sock around. What do you think?

Funny you mention it. I'm sitting outside listening to my new fountain and there's thistle seed on my deck. I'm my case, I don't think I have any birds that like it so that's what they kick out of my bird feeder. My sister gave me a thistle sock at Christmas and nobody ever got on it. What kind of birds do you have that eat the thistle, Lainey?

My feeders have not been filled since May. Is that bad?
