Try it, the birds should be able to stand on the rim. If not, oh well.

We had a visitor tonight. The picture is a little fuzzy as I was trying to hold a big lens.

We now have a couple of mockingbirds in the neighborhood...

Funny watching them jump/leap/flutter 3'-4' from the neighbors roof straight up, and then land.... over and over....

Guessing its their mating ritual?
