Send me you camera and lens....

I'll get some better pic's!

And if your camera never makes it back to you... oh well!

Maybe I should just borrow my sisters husband camera and lens....

Not sure what he has... but I think he can see an ant at 14 miles! (ok, slight exaggeration!)

That's an interesting shot. . . I do not recall ever seeing one on a feeder . . . just on the ground under it; here's one I took.

The juncos are generally ground feeders, but sometimes I see one dining at the feeder. Is it the same in your yard?

My Downy woodpeckers are still MIA, in spite of fresh suet in two places. No Carolina Wren sightings either.

Dave, I didn't know that we had twohees in MI. Now I will watch for them.

My hawk is back - sorry no camera - it is a Northern Harrier and beautiful. According to my bird book they are in decline in Michigan owing to the loss of wetlands. We are about 1.5 miles back from Lake St Clair and very much in the middle of a housing development, therefore a real treat to see the Harrier.

Yep, same; mostly ground but sometimes they like the feeder.

I have one bird I can't identify yet. It is very skittish and it flys away anytime i get close to the camera. I need to get a remote shutter release to catch it.

Our Towhee's are strictly ground feeders, as they like to skirt about underneath low bushes and hedges. I've tried the suet blocks with very little success with the Woodpecker species, they prefer the feeder filled with peanuts/sunflower hearts. Maybe they are just spoiled now and refuse the suet.
