My first Fiat X1/9 did not have a radio. I bought a small set of wind chimes and hung them from the rear view mirror. That and the Italian exhaust note was all the music I needed.

I had a baby wind chime hooked to a cabinet door in my Acton house. It made such a nice tinkle when I opened to door.

Windchimes to me are as annoying as car alarms. Stop the noise PLEASE. When we were in FL a couple months ago visiting my daughter there was a house on the other side of her lake that had windchimes. They didn't bother anyone but me but I hated them. I was trying to sit outside, enjoy the warm weather and sunshine, and read a good book. Instead of peace and quiet there was non-stop noise from the clanging and banging. Thank goodness we don't have any around us at home. I get to listen to birds, the wind, and the peaceful silence.

Scooterboy: You don't even want to get me started on windchimes. That's why I'm removing myself from this thread. See ya!

^^ I too love windchimes and the peaceful sound they make lull me to sleep at night. I keep a lovely chime out on the patio below my bedroom window and adore the sound it makes. I'm not crazy about those bell chimes that some people have, but remember when I did a silent retreat at a Cistercian Monastery the sound of the cowbells was pleasant at night.
Val, I have to ask. You did a silent retreat? Does that mean no talking????

I would not last an hour.

Generally I find wind chimes to be a soothing/pleasant sound. I recall one day sitting outside and it was really windy. I was trying to read and could not concentrate. I had to take some (I have a "few") of the wind chimes down, but I put them back up in case Spokesman or dlq04 comes to visit.
