Pretty much anything from LL Bean and New Balance is a "do" for me.
And please, whoever is wearing shorts with dark shoes and socks, just stop now! Thanks.

1) I wear a tie to work on Thurs.
I don't think I've worn a tie for work since the late 90's. I hope I never do again. They're evil things!

My boss wants me to give a presentation in May at an event that will probably require a suit. I'm resisting because I know I don't have one that fits. I certainly don't want to buy one for a 30 minute presentation, and then never wear it again.

I think I'll go home and put on some white shoes and a white belt. AKA: "The Full Cleveland"

JK, I own neither.

Oh, and Darlene: never wear patent leather shoes and a skirt, we boys can see your underwear if you do.

OK, #1 has me why a tie only on Thursdays? Is it payday?
I actually do like to wear a tie and jacket sometimes. Problem is if you just do it when you want, people always have questions, Why the tie? Are you going on an interview?, etc.....

So, I started to wear ties on Thurs. Now people expect it and no questions. I don't wear it when it is very hot or sloppy outside. Then I get the questions Todays Thursday, where is the tie.

Matter of fact if you find that old picture of me at Christmas in another thread, I was wearing a Vest with a tie.

Actually, after a few years of doing the tie on Thurs. the NY Times ran an article about how the mens clothes stores were thrilled that people in NYC were dressing up on Thursdays.

I call it DOT (Dress On Thursday).

^ The sunglasses you are wearing in your avatar are not very stylish.

I like to wear a tie to work whenever I have to leave work early (i.e. doctors appointments, personal business, etc). It keeps them guessing as to if I am interviewing. I love it.
