Everyone was at the beach!

Everyone was at the beach!
So we took a ride in the S today. We figured we'd hit Narragansett, RI, Point Judith and that area.
We could not believe the number of people who had the same idea we did. The parking lots were full at both beaches in Narragansett. We stopped at one Scarborough and did a bit of walking. Headed to Point Judith to the light house, could hardly get near the place. We did see several Lotus' parked there, and a ton of motorcycles.
Grabbed lunch at a decent place, and went to Charlestown where we were able to walk for a while. It was cooler there than at the other beaches.
Summer in April!
Found this guy. I think it was dead. I put it back in a little pool of water, but he wasn't going anywhere.
Didn't know they were purple on the flip side.
From Charlestown, RI peace and quiet, nice place for a walk, and no sea of humanity.
I love living within easy driving distance to pretty places and the ocean!
Edit: Meant to start this in NE and post here in Odds and Ends photos....sorry....

I see that there are a few brave souls that are experiencing what must be very cold water at this time of year.
One of the stupidest things that I have ever done was to go surfing at Atlantic Beach on the south coast of Long Island during Spring Break back in the 60's without a wet suit. As a result, I now know how to spell "blue".

I'm not sure about the RI shore, but a woman in MA capsized her kayack a few days ago and was lucky to get out quickly as the water temps were in the 40's!

Great minds must truly think alike. I had the same idea and headed to Ocean City, MD yesterday and was surprised at the number of people as well. Some were even in that cold water. I stuck my foot in and it almost froze instantly. I'm sure that water was in the 40s too. However, it felt good to be at the beach and it jump started my summer and I'm ready for anything that comes down the pike now.

Reminds me of the Canadians during Canada Days in Myrtle Beach. We can always tell the Canadians are there: They're in bikinis and swimming while we're walking around in sweatshirts and long pants. They must have icewater in their veins.

So, Lainey, I take it it was warm there? Jerry and I hit Laguna Beach on Saturday, but since we got there at around 10:30 am, we had many choices in parking spaces. When we left at around 2 p.m. it was getting crowded. It was still coolish, this weekend, but last weekend it was hot, at over 90 degrees.
