This morning I raced like mad to get +1s jeep to the shop and then to a 10:00 appointment only to discover my appointment wasn't until 1:30. I cancelled it thinking I had a 1:00 appointment elsewhere. After I got home, I decided I'd better check on the 1:00 appointment since perhaps I transposed the times on my palm pilot. I didn't have a 1:00 appointment at all. I feel utterly stupid and have no idea how I completely flubbed my schedule. Now I'm thinking I need to make an appointment to see my physician. Perhaps early onset Alzheimer's is the culprit. I wish I could blame but no, I haven't had anything to drink for ages.

I've forgotten appointments, though it hasn't happened often. I have to admit I often get my days mixed up. Today for example. Tonight we are visiting the nursing home and going out to dinner. We often do that on Thursday evenings, so today has felt like a Thursday all day to me. I'm going to be very disappointed when I wake up and tomorrow isn't Friday!

Not to worry about messing up your schedule. Just call it a senior moment, and maybe have a or two to unwind from the crazy day.

I've done that before. Gone to get a haircut two hours early.

^^ I WISH. I was out with an old hippy friend yesterday who like NEVER got over being a hippy. We reminisced for hours about the good old days. She's still living those "good ole days" and seems quite happy to be doing so in a way. She gets pretty lonely though since most of us "settled" for families, normal lives, etc. and she remained ever faithful to her "flower child" status despite a Masters from Cambridge. I her dearly and enjoyed my time with her, but I stayed TOTALLY AWAY from her stash.

Naw, it isn't early-onset Alzheimers; you're just a doofus.

But you're in good company. Today I got involved with something at work and completely forgot about a lunch appointment I'd made. Stood someone up, no less. I'll make it up by buying tomorrow, but today I feel like a doofus, too. HPH

I've shown up on someone's doorstep a week early for a dinner party.

I'm completely dependent on my computer to remind me of what I should be doing. If it weren't for the "You have an appointment in 30 minutes" reminders I would forget half of the things I'm supposed to do.
