Get a PS-3. It will play blue rays and video games all for one low price.

Patty, I am totally disappointed that you not only eat, but LIKE brussel sprouts. I open this thread hoping for info on BluRay, or maybe some narrative about how you drove your new NSX and blew off some Corvettes, and instead I read about those terrible green things restaurants are serving now to save money on real vegetables. Next you'll be telling us you like cucumber sandwiches. In the future, stick to NSXs, S2Ks or Blu Rays, or I shall be forced to ask that you sell your sports cars, buy a diesel Ford F250 and join their enthusiasts site.
I had enough Ford F350s already since my ex husband was all about Ford trucks.

Thanks Ken, Carmen and mns2k for your input. I'll look into those.
My +1 and I would rather go outside than play games on the TV, Bill. Remember, we can do that here, year round.

Oh yeah!
I can't imagine that winter you have. I'm a Cali whimp.

I had brussel spouts for lunch.
they were awful. food services usually murder the poor things by boiling them to death.
I still don't understand how you can make something tough and mushy at the same time.
I have to look at a blu-ray but have to do my HDMI wiring first up to the projector.

I bought a PS-3 because it is all ready wirelessly connected to my network so it automatically downloads upgrades. I got the 80 Gb one for Christmas. I recently bought a Samsung LN46A650 1080p 120 Hz LCD television.
I do play Gran Turismo and Guitar Hero on the PS-3. I'm sure I'll get some other games as they become available. I'm just not into shoot-em up games.
The picture and sound quality from the combo is amazing. I do use an HDMI connection to the TV, but use an optical digital connection to my AV system.
Ironman is absofrigginglutely amazing on Blue Ray.
I also use the HDMI connection from my HD cable box to the TV. My wife's comment was that even real life did not look so real.
