I really wish I could join you gals, but way too much going on right now. (How is this different from normal?)

Have a great run - I'll be thinking about you!

Everybody!! I wish you guys were coming along too. Catherine and I arrived safely and had a nice dinner. Thought I'd post a few pics I took on Rt. 60 near my home. This route leads me over the mountains from my turf so that I can hook up with Rt. 64 to get through the rest of VA and WVA and on to OH. This is 25 miles of really nice road and today was exceptionally good since there were NO cars or trucks in front of me the whole way:

Glad this fella's on his side of the yellow line!!

FINALLY, I get to this and I'm on my way. I can upshift to fifth gear for the first time in 25 miles:

Val,

In the curvies, that looks similar to the dragon

Only road I am familiar with sort of in your area is route 5 through the mountains - that is a helluva road!

Drive safe and have fun!!

I could only take pics of the easy curves. I don't do the dragonball run since I really cannot justify driving 9 hours to get to the dragon when I have all these roads practically in my front yard. This is 25 miles of great smooth road with wonderful banked curves. Yesterday was particularly good since there were no pickup trucks or tractor trailers on the road in front of me. There were a few tractor trailers and a few motorcycles coming toward me, but it was clear sailing the whole way. What I particularly like about the road is there are a few stretches where the road straightens out a little so you can get a breather before you start up and down the mountains and hit all the challenging switchbacks and curves. It was a great drive. I called +1 when I got to the little town at the end and just before hitting the interstate and told him about how exhilarating it was and he said, "so . . . I guess you'll just come on back home now?" Ahhh, no. I had 315 more miles to go to get here, but I'm realllllly looking forward to today. Looks like Tachus and I will be touring the great Buckeye State (at least the southeast portion). Hope my camera holds up. Its acting up a bit, but I'll try to post pics tonight or at least by tomorrow evening when I get home.

WOW -- great drive. Here's a few pics. Apologies for the ones taken through the windshield, but you can get the idea.
Here's a couple on Rt. 26 with Larry in the lead:

Tachus and Larry (These pics were taken at Dennison where we stopped for a fabulous lunch -- great little restaurant, mmm.

Here's Tachus tearing up the next route, which was 555. After we split off and Larry headed for home, we went down 555 and 500 and found some incredibly wonderful driving:
