Depending on which version of the story one cares to believe when Donna Summer recorded "No More Tears" as a duet with Barbara Streisand, Summer was so competitive that she actually passed out trying to hold the note as long as Streisand did. Streisand reportedly finished her part of the the recording before asking if Summer was OK.
No matter which version one chooses to believe, I like her music and enjoyed dancing to it back in my "Disco Days" (yes, I did the Manhattan Hustle).
