Default Dog Poop

I only ask this after I nicely suggested to the owner of an extremely well fed Labrador that he pick it up out of my front yard. I had to loan him a baggie.

We have a dog poop pick up law. I don't mind the small ones, they're absorbed pretty quick here without a grass browning or greening effect.

Do you have dog poop laws? Are they enforced?

No dog. Not sure of town pick up poop law. I see many people walking their dogs carrying their little bags of dog waste. We have a park and woods across the street. I see some folks there with their dogs and not all clean up after them. Not good for someone taking a stroll in the park.

I always wondered how dog owners can pretend not to notice when their dog is making a deposit on someone's front lawn.

Yes, we have dog poop laws. I don't have a dog now, but used to have two German Shepherds. (My ex still has them and won't let me see them.) My dogs were on a fenced 1 1/4 acres so the only time I cleaned up their poop was when I was mowing the lawn or working in my rose bushes. Then I'd pick it up in those areas. Otherwise, it was just in the dirt where no one ever walked.

Here, at my house I live in now, I have two little patches of lawn next to my driveway, and people who walk by with their dogs. In three years I think I've seen two poop piles.

My german shepherd is able to crap approximately three times the volume of food she intakes. But she has no neighbors to visit, living in the country. When I take her to parks or the river walk, I take a baggie to pick it up. Or a shovel and a bucket, depending on her last "movement".
I feel for you if you have inconsiderate neighbors. I would pick it up, follow them home and deposit it on their doorstep.

I take my little dog on a bike tour very morning. She runs on a leash, and keeps a spirited pace for the first 3/4 mile or so, and then slows to sniff along, pee, and take a poop. I carry the daily newspaper plastic cover with me to scoop the poop, but the volume is not very big, so the bother is minimal. I dare not leave any trace, because the neighbors already scold me for treating her so badly -- having her run along with the bike. But if I don't take her on the path soon enough, she comes to my desk and barks -- time to go, dude!

No dog for me but I had a neighbor that would walk his dog and let it dump in my yard and he never picked it up. I asked him nicely once to pick it up and he ignored me so I took a shovel and deposited on his porch. I also changed my lawn sprinkler system to time to his walk.

He got the message!

I really don't mind the dogs...it's the owners I dislike!

We have a Great Dane and there is no way we could leave poop around. He, like is father, is happiest if he gets to poop in/on a hedge, sometimes that is difficult to clean up.

I guess he's tall enough to poop on a hedge! Haven't had a dog since I moved into the condo, but we do have poop scoop laws here. Sometimes, I see evidence has not been collected (on a sidewalk), but mostly peeps seem to be obiding by them. Carrying around the little plastic bags. We have a dog walking area at our condo, and dog parks. Arlington County is one of the most socially conscious counties in the nation, so perhaps that is an influence.

The nice thing about rural living.
when this guy
<<<<<<-- - - - - has the need, he just goes off in the woods.
although given that he's 180 lbs, you'd be surprised, he doesn't make a huge mess.
A lot as to do with the feed, Eukanaba
