Thumbs up Does your S get better treatment than other car?

Do you fuss more over your S than any other car you own?

Our S is constantly being washed, waxed and fussed over. Rick does not like to leave the driveway in a dirty S, even if the weather is iffy and the S will get dirty as we travel.

That's not to say I drive around in a dirty car. He takes good care of my Jeep, washing and waxing at regular intervals, but the S gets preferred treatment.

He also makes time to wash his shop demo regulary. He hates dirty cars, but he was able to contain himself at Gettysburg and didn't wash it off until the AM we headed home. Unlike others.

What about your car(s)?

Hell, yes! I hate for my Suzuka baby to sit with dust on it. My '98 Odyssey van, eh? No biggie if it's dusty or dirty for a couple of weeks.

Is this a joke? I don't think my Durango has ever seen soap! But I will fight to the death for the hose at our gatherings

The S is by far more pampered than our other vehicles. I hate driving around in a dirty S but for some reason it dosn't bother me if I'm in my beater truck. Maybe because more people are apt to notice/check out the S than my truck or Karla's Focus.

S has the newest polish job.

Ran wife's Grand Marquis through the carwash this month. Waxed ??? was it last year or 2004?

Wife's F-250 was washed last spring and waxed about 3 years ago. (I did wash wheels and tires after the Topeka trip)

Pantera gets washed before and after each outing. I still have to do the change over from wax to Zaino. S has been the "test mule" for me to learn about using Zaino.

Is this a trick question thread? If not, then I'm terribly confused as there could be no answer except of course, yes. Surely no one possessed of full mental capabilities would spend the time, talent and resources on just any old car. Right?

Black cars are always requiring care. My Berlina S is seven years old, but it still shines. It gets hand washed about once a week, and waxed when needed. And I spend lots of time maintaining the soft top. One of the worst things to keep clear and clean is the plastic rear window. The only reason I can think of -- besides saving a little weight -- for putting a plastic rear window in the early Ss is that they needed at least a little trace of discomfort a la British sports car.

Chris' silver G35 gets an occasional free wash, because the S is getting pampered.

The S did get the most fussing over, when the other car was my wife's '99 CR-V. She just got a new '06 Volvo V70 2.5T, so now they are equals in the fuss department.
