Do you spring/fall clean? Who does the housework?

My sister told me tonight she skips spring cleaning. She just sets the house on fire, then everything gets a fresh coat of paint! Actually, they did have a house fire last fall and she's been giving ALL rooms a once over since, even those not damaged.
No one hurt, smoke alarms work!

If you position everything just right, you can also use the Bowflex as a catapult to get the clothes somewhere near the laundry room/hamper.

I am in charge of cleaning the vehicles, the garage, and the outside of the house. That includes mopping the garage floor.

After everything is said and done it has been a fairly "even joint effort" in making our house much smaller than it was twenty years ago when we moved in.

Whenever my wife says we need to get rid of stuff, I just tell her we need a bigger house
We have a lot of storage space, but we also have a lot of stuff, including a lot of stuff belonging to my in-laws. My MIL still has at least 100 gowns hanging in a closet in the attic.
They also have one corner of our basement filled with crap, including a baby blue wheelchair and three sets of wooden crutches, just to give you an idea. I don't even know what's hidden away in all the boxes.
I needed shelf space in the basement, so one day I went thru six shelves worth of my MIL's old papers. There were boxes of programs from functions dating back to the '70s. I kept one copy of each and threw away the rest. She never noticed.

I am very lazy when it comes to cleaning...and my condo gets dusty very fast, even with an electronic air filter. When I get fed up with looking at it, I dust and vacuum. The +1 is a very good cleaner (the U.S. Navy instilled that in him) and helps out, but he's not a cleaning fanatic, either. I get motivated when I'm having company!
