Do you Procrastinate?

I'm in the sometimes category, and more often than in the past.
One example, I'll fold laundry, and leave it it the basket instead of putting it away immediately. Other things I put off as well, maybe because I have more important things to do with my time, or more "fun stuff" anyway.

I am in the process of refinishing some OEM NSX rims that were chrome, then rechromed right over some curb rash and chips. They are coming along. They will be bronze.
They should be done by 2015 or so.

Believe me, this is one of the few things I do in an orderly and timely fashion.

I work for a Fortune 200 corporation. I once had a boss who was known for saying, "Procrastination pays." I cannot count the number of times edicts came down from above, only to be revoked or revised a couple of weeks later. Those who jumped right on the task wasted effort; those who procrastinated until the requirements were actually finalized came out way ahead.

I have long stated that Ben Franklin had the saying "necessity is the mother of invention" slightly wrong. In Matt's world: "laziness is the mother of invention". As in there has to be a better way to do the task at hand.
