Thumbs up Do you print/have your pics printed? II

I've asked this question before, wonder if folks have changed their habits.

I print fewer and fewer pics each year. Now that most of us use a digital camera, there is no need to print every pic you take so you can see which ones you like.

I'll print up the better pics of the grand kids or family members and I keep them organized in an album(s) which someday can be passed along. I used to keep a separate album of S2000 related trips and meets, but no longer do that. As a matter of fact, one of the last times I put pics or a remembrance in that album was from the celebration of life for Bruce/The Toon. That was two years ago.

I rarely look at the pics, and most of my favorites are used for my screen saver so I see them often. BTW, I do have the pics backed up.

What do you do with your pics?

Used other, we have pics on computer, backed up on disk, and backed up to external hard drive. We also make books, usually through Apple for special occasions and started doing by year. We also use books as a gift to others. Have gone to a few anniversary parties taken many pics & have put in book and then mail to people stating here was our view of your party. All have appreciated it.

When I print up pics of the grandkids, I generally make a copy for my son and his wife. Chances are my photos of their kids are better organized than theirs are.

When we went to Disney with them, I made the granddaughter an album of pics of the trip.

Yesterday, I was fiddling around with the Picassa program and made a collage of the pics I took of the grandson at a car show last week. He posed in front of all of the cars. It came out pretty good and I'll put it in a frame for him. I think he'll like that in his room.

Surprisingly ... most of my pics the last 4 years revolve around S events

I have directories for any large event separated out in iPhoto (apple software), I choose some to put on my car's web site, and then usually print a few from each event for my photo album.

I was a little behind for awhile but just yesterday ordered 45 pics that will catch me up thru all current events (and cars)

An exception to just S2000 pics in the most recent batch will be some nice pictures of my 80 Prelude, which was "sacrificed" for 1/2 the down payment on the Suzuka Sad but no regrets.

I tend to store all of my pics that aren't out of focus, or plain bad on my hard drive. I'll upload a sampling (could be 5-10, could be 150-200) of each event that's worthy up to Picasa online for viewing (I use both public and private albums). I might print 1 or 2 from an event to store in a portfolio, and rotate/refresh the pictures in the house periodically (all 8x10s).

I always look through to make sure I don't have a special shot worthy of enlarging (16x20, 20x30, 35x7 panoramic) suitable for a real frame.

I also burn CD/DVDs of some events for the people there instead of posting online for some events.

We only have prints made of the pictures we want to frame. Pics of the kids and grandkids. The rest get saved on thumb drives/CDs.
