Your memory is way better than mine, Sue! Had I remembered I could have bumped up the thread/poll.

I guess the topic is still being discussed often!

Thank you. I am retired. You may not fly commercially as a pilot once you hit 65. However, you may fly on your own or fly people in a non commercial way (no one is paying money as a fare for the ride) as long as you pass the FAA physicals.

I took an early out at my company during the summer of 2020 as my aircraft really was not flying at all (A330) and I had six months to go till 65. The company paid partial salary and threw in some nice travel goodies as well.
I have just under a straight 2.5 years of sitting in an aircraft.

The adjustment was more engaging than I realized. Starting to sort things out. This is the longest period of time in my marriage of 38 years, that my wife and I have actually been together continuously. Between 10 month Naval deployments on carriers and 2 week international trips, we have spent a lot of time apart. I like to joke that we have been married for almost 40 years and been together 18!

When I was in 6th grade parochial school, my teacher, Sister Mary Daniels, caught me looking out the window a bit long. She chided me and said no one is going to pay me to stare out the window. Well what do you know?! I have been paid my entire life to do just that!

Lainey, I did not really remember.

I just looked at the “related topics.”

I appreciate this topic staying alive, I think it is important, and we need more US states to switch before our Province can change, so the more discussion the better

When I was in a golf league, I liked DST because it meant we could get in 9 holes after work.
but i'm in the eastern section of eastern time. If I was out with Dave in mishegan there is an hour of difference in when the sun rises and sets.
and that makes a huge difference.

When we vacationed in Florida in mid-summer the sun set much earlier than what we would get in Canada, a good 1.5 hours difference, caused by the earth's axis.

My mother, who lived in south FL didn't believe me when I told her that It got dark sooner in FL than in OH. I had to show her why!
