I lose pens. I can leave on a business trip with 3 or 4, and come home with none.

Ah. I have one of those too. I never put pens in it though. Just my laptop, iPod, iPod speakers, and that kind of stuff. So, not even a fanny pack for you?

I misplace things. Many times I will be carrying an object and set it down to do something, but forget I set it down. I mean I don't even realize I set the item down.
What bugs me more is starting a small task, seeing another one so I stop the first one to do the 2nd so I don't forget to do it. I finish #2, but have forgotten to do #1.

Kathy is the 'misplacer expert' in our family: sunglasses, clear glasses, keys, pocket pack of tissues, etc.
OTOH, I am usually the one that is blamed for misplacing stuff
