Amazing as to all the panic and media hype created by such a small quake. We registered a 2.0 in Delaware. When I was stationed in So. Cal in the Navy we had a few of these yearly (yawn).

Media hype is there for everything, right now they are working the hurricane.

As far as yesterday, quakes aren't common here. I think buildings shaking in NY and DC so close to the anniversary of 9/11, was pretty nerve wracking for many.

I loved in Boston how every one was freaking out over two buildings that were touching now.


of course they were touching before the earthquake too but nobody had noticed that.

Last major earthquake in Texas was in 1931. Epicenter was in the Davis Mts. in far East Texas.

There are certain things some of us do that bring peace of mind. For me spending less than what it costs for a dinner or two, to have the "what if" coverage for earthquake insurance makes me feel better.
