Do you get trick or treaters? What are you giving out?

Halloween Parade in our town this evening. The fire dept hosts this. The kids walk behind a fire engine for a few blocks, then back to the station for treats. It's well attended. We will see who shows up here for treats after the parade.

I heard someone say they were concerned about Devil's night in our region, that is a term I hadn't heard for a number of years. I think the days of kids causing destruction and vandalism are over, they are too busy playing video games than pulling pranks these days. Eggs and toilet paper are in high demand and not to be wasted.

Our trick or treat time is between 6 and 8 pm.
It is quite warm, almost 70F, but it is supposed to be very windy and start raining around 6 pm.
Kids are starting to arrive, probably trying to beat the rain.

We had 102 so far but things have really quieted down except for some clown that set off an M80 somewhere in the sub (not cool). Devil's night is a thing in the past. I used to enjoy it more than Halloween as a kid - did some not nice things. In Detroit Devil's night used to be the burning of vacant homes. Thankfully I don't hear of that anymore.

We just ran out of all our candies, including my emergency chocolate candies. There must have been at least couple of hundred kids or more going through our area. We are completely out of candies. Next year, I might have to buy 3 bags or more. All the kids were very polite and well behaved.

Busy night here. I don't count but quite a few kids. Just answered the door to two teenage girls. One dressed in skimpy lingerie type of top with playing cards sticking out of the top. She told me she was the queen of hearts. Her friend "Alice" wasn't wearing a whole lot of clothing either. Good thing it is warm out!!
