Do you ever wish that there were more hours in a day. I do. I can't seem to get everything done that I want to get done. I usually don't even come close. I suppose I waste some time, but even when I put my head down and work with a determination to get things done I come up short.

Perhaps we expect too much of ourselves, or maybe the things we have to do have gotten to to be too complex and time consuming. I don't know. All I know is I could use a 36 hour day, maybe a 48 hour day.

How about you? Do you wish there were more hours in a day?

I agree completely.

Why else would I be here typing after midnight....when I have to get up at 6 am for a 7 am meeting....followed by a 9 am orientation for a Habitat event, which will last until at least 12 noon.

Luckily, MY tax work is done (by a CPA ) so all that I have to do now is: sign the forms, write a couple 3-4-5 digit checks (thank you, safe harbor), and add stamps!

Of course, there is still the little matter of completing my son's Fed and Peeay returns....

Good night, Rob

Jerry,

Why don't you file electronically? It is simply more convenient. Your CPA is probably set up to do this. I'd be surprised if his software doesn't support this.

If your son has a refund coming, and your CPA puts his routing number into the e-filed return, he will have his refund in two to three weeks.

We started e-filing this year. Like every other CPA firm we were resistant, but now, halfway into tax season we are wondering why we didn't do this five years ago.

Nope, I am perfectly fine with 24 hours a day. We have to fit our schedule within that 24 hours. I leave my work knowing not everything is done but I know my work will wait for me. When I leave work and go home, I try to focus on my family time and enjoy every minute of it. There never will be enough hours in a day. Thank God we have no more and no less than 24. Working and relaxing and at times wasting time are all part of being human and living. Enjoy!

Man I can't finish anything in one day. Go to sleep at 7 a.m., wake up at 5 p.m., eat, shower, get ready, go out, do the same thing all over again. It's hell I tell ya.

I need more money so that I would no longer need more hours in a day.

I have a feeling that if there were more than 24 hours in a day, we'd just have that much more we had to get done in them.

I think that's one of the downsides of a stronger economy. I'm back to working one and a half jobs. Back during the bust, when I only had half a job, I had plenty of time.

You got it - that's my mission in life.

I have friends who went on 16 vacations (at least one week each) in a year, and decided it was too much. Now they only go away for one week each month, and feel life is more balanced. I can't wait to have that problem.
