From time to time, I think of Bicentennial Man, starting Robin Williams. Dealing with the issue of mortality we all face, this movie brings out some poignant thoughts. The ending scene in particular makes me think about my own humanity and ultimate death, as not something to be dreaded but to embrace it with gratitude and humility for the gift of life loaned to me.

How ironic that Robin Williams in real life died from suicide. I guess, when it comes to the end, I’m going to go out kicking and screaming - - - while knowing all the while I had a wonderful life and could say I’m ready if it happened tomorrow.

We watched Ride like a Girl that one of you suggested. Barn stories go over well with the barn girl I married. Afterwards I watched Tender Bar on Prime. Donna said we had seen it but I didn't recall much of it, so it was like seeing it for the first time. Very good.
