I saw the first one and maybe the second. How many did they make?

Dave we watched Downton Abbey last night. We liked it. It tied up each character very well, no need for a sequel.
Had to look up the King and family to figure out where Queen Elizabeth fit into all the people in the movie.

Lucas always envisioned a nine part series, and Rise of Skywalker is #9. Lucas' plan is why the "original" Star Wars pic was titled "Episode IV - A New Hope.". I was young when I saw the original three movies. When I read an interview where Lucas explained his long range plan I was really excited as I was a big fan by then.

Then the prequels were released many years later. They were confusing, and had a very different style. They were poorly received by most fans, including me. But by then I was committed. Or should have been.

So the first, second, and third movies were Episodes IV, V, and VI. Then the fourth, fifth, and sixth releases were Episodes I, II, and III. Confused yet?

The Natural-It's still December and still a good time for a baseball movie, and this is a great baseball movie. Lots of baseball for those of us who love the game, and a very good story even if you don't love the game. Great acting from Robert Redford, Robert Duvall, Kim Basinger and Glenn Close. Slow to start, but the excitement builds. A great movie, nominated for 4 Oscars and 1 Grammy. 2 hours and 18 minutes of great cinema. If you haven't seen this movie, see it. If you've seen it, see it again (especially if you like baseball or good movies).

Rob I don't love the game. I think it is one of the slowest and most boring games ever. Still, I agree with you. I have watched it more than once.

As far as baseball movies, I really enjoyed watching Moneyball starting Brad Pitt. I watched the final? Rambo the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is definitely more gruesome than the previous ones but who knows?

Are you the same Honda 367 who started the movie thread a hundred years ago? We haven't seen you in a long time. Welcome back.

Thank you for your welcome. Yes, I am. I saw your post about those who were no longer around. Thank you for your concern. I am back in the Mid Atlantic. Long gone is my S2000 but good to see everyone still thriving on this forum.
