I don't know why, but I got a mental image of a drunk trying to walk, run, roller skate and/or skate-board down a hill. Maybe like a sporting event. Seemed pretty funny.

Repressed memory from your youth, perhaps?

We finally saw Widows today. We liked it but it did seem to drag at times.

I recommend the Netflix DVD, "The Leisure Seeker". I watched it about a week ago and just saw the preview for it, again, while I'm waiting for my current DVD to get to the movie. It's about two old farts; one's got Alzheimer's and I think one has cancer. They run away from their kids in their old Winnebago.

...and hilarity ensues?

Sorry. I couldn't stop myself. Based on a few reviews, it sounds like the film's emotional impact would hit a little too close to home for me to enjoy. But Mirren and Sutherland. What a core cast! I wonder if they have ever worked together before.

No, it's not handled that way. It's done with respect and class. In this movie, Sutherland's character is in the forgetful, early stages.

I must have watched this move at least 100 times, but this time of year, I never tire of it! Watched it twice tonight on TBS.

A Christmas Story

It's too old fashioned for me. I annoyed me. On the other hand, there isn't an old movie I'd want to watch.

Not even Casablanca? That's another one I can watch over and over.
