Oh my, it's been really hard finding a good movie that I have not seen before.

But I found a great one. . . no blood and guts . . . no unreal stupid action scenes . . . just a really good story!! Kodachrome on Netflix. Give it a try, I think you will appreciate it.

The Hornets Nest On Prime offers the same look at human brutality and love but in real life. It also shows just how chaotic battles can be, all through the lenses of real Afghan war correspondents' cameras.

Donna went with a neighbor to see it; they both had read the book as well. They agree.

For some reason Netflix would not open for me, so I was forced to use Prime. Watched The Beekeeper. A really stupid movie in my opinion but if action movies are your thing, then you will love it. Our hero (????) only killed about 300 innocent people trying to protect the President of the USA and another couple hundred people who were not good people and scamming folks. So 500 dead, just another day at the office if you are a retired beekeeper.

I watched that movie too, Dave. Thought it was ok but a little too much action/killing.

Michael and I saw it tonight. It was very good. I had read the book but couldn't remember what it was about it until the beginning. I'm glad I only remembered a few parts.

Watched an old one but new to us with Tom Hanks called The Circle on Netflix. Excellent.

Thanks for the tip Dave. I always enjoy a Tom Hanks movie that isn't one of his blockbusters. And I meant to watch it. I really did.

But a funny thing happened when I opened Netflix, a double feature Mark Wahlberg sighting. And I couldn't look away.

The Union. Construction worker turned superspy at the behest of Halle Berry. Very high body count, but no gore. I don't recall even seeing any blood but I might have missed that. Slick but fun.
Spencer Confidential. Once again Wahlberg plays good cop who goes after a bad Boston PD cop, only to kick over a hornets nest of corruption. I know. We've seen this movie a couple times already. But this time Wahlberg has a charming cast of supporting actors starting with Alan Arkin.

Can recommend both. But bring popcorn.

And, Dave, I will watch The Circle. But first I just stumbled across The Paper.

I gave Spencer Confidential a one star and The Paper a three star. Haven't watched The Union yet.
