Like a few of you, I'm on my second S2000. The '00 Silverstone was sold in June to a good friend....so I still have visiting privileges (even borrowed back after an accident in the replacement). I GREATLY enjoyed 66 months/ 65,000 mi....but decided to trade up for a different color and a glass rear window

I'm enjoying the '03 GPW and love the tan leather. It cost me only $10K to upgrade and has just turned 17,000 miles. I intend to try to NOT make this one a daily driver....hopefully keeping it a longer time.

In a nutshell, I hope to remain an S2000 owner for a long time....but am not necessarily stuck on driving the SAME S2000. The Vintage and s2ki communities have certainly been a life-changing bonus to ownership.

We'll see what the aging body allows in the years ahead....

I've never sold a car. However, I'm starting to think I probably will end up selling my 1991 CRX Si pretty soon. I've owned a CRX Si since 1989 (the current one is a replacement for one that was rear-ended), and I guess it may be time to bow out. I don't really have the drive to fix up the car the way it should be done (or the money to pay someone else to do it). The S has taken both the interest and the money away from the CRX.

I hope the S survives it's tour of duty as my track car, and ends up retired as a street cruiser. Time will tell.

When you first bought it did you really think you'd own it this long? Did you really think that you'd become so passionate about a car? When did it steal your heart?
When I decided to give up building Jeeps, I needed something to fill the void with something that Martha would also enjoy. I looked at the Mini Cooper-S, RX-8, and the 350Z first, as I wasn't even aware of the S2000's existence. I started reading up on them, then took one for a test drive. I was sold on the car in about fifteen minutes and bought it on the spot. When I got back from the test drive with the dealer, Martha remarked that I hadn't smiled like that since the day Nixon died. Martha also went for a drive with the dealer and was almost as thrilled as I was.
My only regret concerning the car is that I was unable to buy a Moonstone or yellow model. The dealer only had the Silverstone and Sebring models. But I've learned to live with the Silverstone.

All things considered, I will be more proud being seen driving my 01 spa 10 years from now. I tend to keep cars and motorcycles for a long time.

LEARNED TO LIVE WITH IT!!!!! I guess you've had to adjust to something that is the fastest, hence that statement, right??? Everyone knows Silverstone is the fastest S.

No, I've been in faster colors. Silver cars seem to me to be all too common these days. But my biggest complaint is that it's so difficult to match the Silverstone when trying to fix dings and scratches. I put a scratch in it two days ago, and now it looks like I'm going to have to find a detailer to fix it. Hopefully, I'll be able to find one in central FL that's worth a crap.

You're really going to have to stop posting lines like this - I almost peed myself laughing.

Based on the attendees at the Sunshine meet, did you consider Berlina? Two out of four. Or maybe you could just ask Matrix about his favorite color.
