My '03 was sitting on the showroom floor at the Honda dealership. I currently have 65K miles on it and like Matt and others intend to keep it until I can no longer drive it.

Yes, I did. I've had it since May, 2000 and don't see me giving it up anytime soon.

When I bought my first S2000 back in 2000 I didn't think about the car's future very much. I was so excited about buying the car, and I couldn't stay out of it. It was a shiny Berlina, the S that <Matrix> Marco (where did he go?) steadfastly claimed was the mostest, fastest, beautifulest color of them all!! I had no plans ever to sell it, but after six or seven years of ownership and 86,000 happy miles, I was T-boned in the side by a wayward teenager who didn't stop at a stoplight; and after repair the car was not quite the same on the track; so I ended up trading her to the dealer for a new 2007 Rio. The Rio now has over 111,000 miles on the tach and, with TLC and careful maintenance, she still drives like a new car. Haha, it's not a ^^^ Silverstone, but hey, it's still faster than silver, AND the striking metallic yellow glistens and sparkles in the sun!

To get my wife to approve the purchase, I told her I would keep it at least 15 years. (Easy to do since it is stored winters.) I'm in the 11th year and will easily make 15, if not more. Not sure I will ever be willing to spend similar money on a car, so it'll be around for a long time.

Yes. And I have never seriously considered selling it either. That's not to say it is my specific plan to keep it forever; it's just to say that I know I'm not yet done with the car and I don't feel as though I will be for a long while.

I knew I wanted to keep it forever. With 60 something K on it and a new tune I got last summer I don't see anything changing. I'm not driving it much right now because of the day to day rain chances (washed and waxed three weeks ago) but my butt dyno says it's running and driving better than ever.

It's still the most fun I've ever had in a car with my pants on.

I'm looking forward to installing a hover conversion. They should be out next year:

After that I'll save up for a flux capacitor. They should have already been invented, but I have not seen any adds.

^I didn't know that, Jim. Did you get hurt?

I may be on my third S but I can't imagine life without one. It's my go-to car. The one I want to drive everyday. Over the years, I think I put 58,000 on my '01, and 103,000 on my '05. My '07 is just at about 18,000.

When you get the hover craft kit installed, I want a ride.
