Default Daylight Savings? Does your state do it?

It's only just after 7PM because of going off day-light savings time. I think most states do it but I know Arizona and Hawaii don't. Does your state?

Yes. It's 10:23, and it's been dark for 5 hours. But I do prefer to wake up to daylight.

I've got no say in the matter, so I'll just look forward to December 22nd or 23rd when the days start getting longer again.

It's nice to get that extra hour.

Unless you have a nearly-4-year-old who doesn't appreciate that extra hour.....

As Plant Pixie notes: It is my favorite day of the year.

It's been so rainy/cloudy/dark here lately it was hard noticing it getting dark earlier. I know I tend to feel tired earlier in the nite after changing the clocks.

Finally got back to it. A very good film...

On subject, Anika managed to sleep until her alarm clock went off. Phew! I was expecting a wake-up call form her about 5:45am. That would not have been fun.

We've usually seen it take her at least a month to adjust to the new schedule - those little ones have very body clocks that are very tough to change. Hopefully it will be easier now that she's older.

I understand that this may have had a point an some time in history, but does it really make any difference now?
