Default Dave Letterman’s Farewell

Good night, Dave. Good night, Paul…I’ll miss both of you…you’ve been great late night entertainment for many, many years.

The best to both of you in the future,

Gary

I'm rarely up that late anymore to watch.

I could never really get into Letterman, even tho he's a car racing owner kind-of-guy. Leno, I liked. But, Carson, I liked better. Long live Johnny!

Same here, though I only watch late night TV when I can't sleep.

I liked Letterman and am sorry to see him go. My all time favorite was Dick Cavett.

I think Letterman and Leno were to those in their thirties and forties what Carson was to our generation. Not sure the Jimmy's (Fallon, Kimmel) will ever achieve such stature. No knock against the new breed's talents. Just that the current generation of 20-somethings have so many other late night entertainment options. Maybe the DVR will save the new guys as well as the shows they host.
