Thanks for your kind comments, everyone. BTW, the car that she learned to drive a stick shift on was my first Prelude. Her encouragement was that if she could learn to drive it, she could have it. It was the most sensitive clutch on any car I have ever owned (short engagement range), but she mastered it.

 

That's really awesome. I hope I can have the same relationship with my daughter when I'm older.

 

Brings tears to my eyes and reminds me of my dad teaching me to drive a stick saying and believing "if you can't drive a stick, you can't drive", all those many years ago. Thanks for sharing.
