Damn Maintenance Light
I had an oil change at 7,300 miles. Now I'm at 7,454 and the maintenance light came on. I guess I'll have to dig out the manual and figure out how to turn it off.

oh! oh! wait! i know this one!
1. Put key in ignition
2. Push trip reset button, continue to hold button for 10 seconds
3. Turn key to next position
4. Hold button for approx 10seconds or until light stays off
Had to look it up myself a while ago.

I hate the face that you can only reset it when it comes on. In my other Honda you just put your key in a slot in the dash and it would reset it. You could do it whenever you did some maintenance, so it would then come on in 7000 miles. It would also be nice if you could set it for the number of miles you wanted.
Oh well, the way it is it's just a useless annoyance.

Thanks jmc. My light came on this morning and I remembered seeing this post. Just used your method and it worked perfectly.
