If you have ever been a Corvette owner or fan you will really enjoy this show with Doug Fehan, Corvette Racing Program Manager. The show is very slow starting but during the first 40 minutes or so it gets good covering the logic behind the car and it’s racing efforts.

How are you liking the C6?
I have only two issues with the car. First the car is cost of any maintenance / repairs that need to be done which is why I have the extended warrantee good for 100K miles with no deductable. Generally speaking this is called the ‘Vette Tax” For example the computer board that controls the automatic seat return went out. I saw the bill (of which I had to pay $0) was over $2200. One of my front shocks went bad and needed to be replaced. I have the Magnetic suspension so to the cost was a little over $1,000.
Second and this is a self inflicted wound, the convertible top folds into the trunk and takes up about 25% of the useful space. With the top down I can get in 2 roll-aboard or more importantly 1 set of clubs and two duffel bags.

I had a '63 Vette. I had not been in one in a long time and a while back I decided to test drive one at our local Chevy dealership. First off they wouldn't let me test drive a new one. Secondly, the used one they gave me required the salesman to come along and he limited the test to about two miles, claiming he didn't want to rack up miles on the car. Needless to say I told him where he could put the car. I'm still tempted from time to time to test one out and see if it might work with my wife's back back..... but not from our local dealer.

any sale is about qualifying the customer's likelihood to buy.
A local dealer is likely to get guys who come in to play with a toy becuase they're bored and want something to do.
Anybody who drives 2 hrs to see a car is serious about buying.
The local guy should be able to do his homework and sort out the real buyers from the frauds if he wants to sell cars though.
