Last weekend Virginija made both traditional chili and her famous (in our house at least) white chili. We've been eating it all week with cornbread. LOVE the stuff.
It's serious cold-weather food.

Being a Suthner*, +1 knows something about cornbread and hushpuppies too. I like it spicy myself.

White chili! I prefer my chili without beans with plenty of Habanero peppers in it and masa harina tortillas, homemade of course. Oh, and several Bohemia ale to put out the fire!

Never had or made white chili; I'll have to try it. Can't have chili without corn bread!

I like chili and cornbread, too.

Does anyone have a good homemade recipe for cornbread?

Some of the recipes that I have tried are rather dry, and I don't like it so dry.

I use the recipe right off the box; Quaker yellow corn meal; I understand the dry thing; I find corn bread doesn't stay moist for long but that's not a problem in this household; my son and I pretty much buzz right through it! Yum! I've tried several recipes including those calling for creamed corn, whole wheat, you name it. It's pretty much a personal preference.
