Default Columbine, 5 years later.

This morning while watching the news I discovered that it has been five years since the horrible day of the shootings at Columbine High School. The commentator mentioned that none of the students who were enrolled in the school at the time of the shootings are still there. He also said that 80% of the teachers employed at the time have left. It really has been a long time.

I have a 16 year old son in high school, and a 10 year old son in elementary school. News items like this strike close to home. At the least, they are food for thought.

I don't think that anyone has yet come up with a satifactory motive, or reason, to explain why the two kids did what they did. I have often wondered what pushed them. What's your opinion? Now that its five years later, what do you think went wrong at Columbine High School?

It makes me sick to my stomach to imagine those two hatching their plot and then carrying it out. I put them on the list with the most atrocious people to inhabit this earth.

I certainly have no answers to why but you can be assured that neither of the cowards would have acted alone. I have no connections to Columbine but for some reason it is one event that makes my blood boil.
