Hey, Gene, congrats to ECU on a spectacular game against Tulsa! And they lost most of their last year's starters!

Thanks, Jim! I'll pass that on to my son and daughter-in-law, the Pirates in our family. Sounds like a great finish. Sorry I missed it.

I'm an NCSU alumnus! Go, Pack!!!

Must have been a heartbreak for VT last night, too! They played very hard. Wow, how about next weekend's scheduled games!

There were some really great games last weekend. Kudos to Mississippi State and the other SEC teams who showed well in tune-up games. Too bad about ol' miss ( ) (I'm sorry...was that wrong of me?)

with Jim. Next weekend really does look like one of those 3 or 4 special fall weekends with lots of great matchups.

Sue and I went to Michigan's first game. It was quite festive because it was the first game in newly renovated MIchigan Stadium. There were fireworks, special commemorative lapel pins given to everyone, plus two jet flyovers!

Attendance was 113,090! The PA announcement said this was the largest crowd to view any football game in the US, pro or football.

I bought the tickets online months ago and could not believe how great the seats were-they were in row 1 (actually the third row, there is row A and B in front of us), 40 yard line. We were situated right behind the Michigan bench.

Michigan played an excellent game (or Connecticut played poorly).

Here are two pictures taken with my new Droid cell phone:

Looks like MI sported a one man offense! I hope Denard Robinson is a durable kid!
