I dunno....sounds like we have a closet tree hugger in our midst 
(j/k).....I might do the same thing....to savor the holiday spirit but only buy a snack!
Here in Philadelphia, one of the traditions is a visit to the Grand Court of the John Wanamaker Store. Even though it's changed hands several times...now owned by Lord & Taylor chain/ whoever....they still play the pipe organ and put on the traditional 4 story high light display depicting the Nutcracker! This is our urban free entertainment...still enjoyed by lots of kids and parents. In fact my 180# twenty year old still likes to go
