I don't have one of these miter saws, but man oh man could I ever use one with all the interior woodworking I'm doing. Very nice Jonas, very nice.

Nice to see I have company when it comes to buying myself my own Christmas gift.
I see many of us are being good to the economy, and some of you are being really good to the economy, congrats!

Jonas I'll have to have the miter saw when I get to building new kitchen cabinets because you are absolutely right, having the proper tool is what it is all about if you want things to come out well. Good luck to ya on your mantle project, perfect thing to tackle during the winter months.
Last year I bought this planer, because I had to have the ability to custom create Poplar wood to thicknesses ranging from 7/16" to 9/16". I had 6 windows replaced on the 1st floor of the house, and I'm redoing all the door and window casings on that floor as I change the style of the house to more of a Craftsman style. Having the ability to get wood thicknesses right down to a 64th of an inch has allowed me to trim in the new windows with nearly perfect fits.

A few years ago, I bought the wife 2 sets of 225/50X15 BFG g-force R-1 tires for Christmas. That size just happened to fit my Escort. Since then, every November, she tells me that she DOES NOT want tires for Christmas.
I should mention that happened just after she discovered that she was getting hard of seeing and bought me a 31" TV for our living room. I watch TV in the living room about 3 times a year.
This year we have agreed that we will each buy the other half a Garmin GPS for Christmas. All we need to do now is figure out which model.

[QUOTE=Triple-H,Dec 3 2008, 08:14 AM] I looked at the Lithium Ion upgrade, nice option to consider. I think what sold me was the variety of stuff that could be added.

I went to Michael's for some garland to put on my stairs. The garland was normally $9.99 but they had it marked off 60%. But then I took in a coupon that marked it off another 25%. I got four strands of green/poinsettia garland for $12 instead of $40.

I use the Tuff Sucker vac on the cars quite often. It's much easier than rolling the shop vac out of its cubbyhole, and picks up a surprising amount of dirt.
Yet the Ryobi flashlight gets used almost every time I work on the car. I thought it was a useless gimmick when I bought the drill; I was wrong!

Seems lots of us must have great minds, because great minds think alike...
