Hmmm, can you get one with a plow attachement? I need a winter driver.

I owned an 06 Vette and loved it. The S driver and Vette driver are looking for 2 different experiences. Both are great cars. The vette is the All American Sports Car and everyone should have the experience of owning one. I have had my S four months and love it, yet the "vette" still gets the looks. Even when I drive my S I still stare at the "vettes" when I pass them!

Your cruise in a "vette", you drive a "S"!
If you can get a coupe for that price listed-it is a good deal!

I have learned Vette dealers only get serious if the car has been on the lot for over 120 days. Their allotment is directly tied to what they sell not what they can buy! Vette dealers get more traffic on their lots than Chevy non vette dealers- people just like to look at the vette-up close!

No car in this price range retains it's value- they are tools and toys-enjoy them, drive them, use them and then go get you another one!

A corvette is probably going to be the S2000 replacement for me - no one can dispute it's performance numbers vs $ value....

I like that comparison and that is what I was looking for when I went for my test drive. Vette's have held little interest for me since I sold my '63 until recently. I think they look great - just saw a stunning one in black - and by all accounts are a top notch car for the price. I suspect it takes a very good driver to really handle all that torque.

The down side of the "vette" is the interior decor, but the C6 has some major upgrades. The heads up feature, onstar and nav are all excellent additions which most sportscars do not offer.

The inset headlights is a major shift in design vs the pop up lights. Some vette purist still like the pop up head lights.

For the money the "vette" is the real deal. Yet the "S" is so much more fun to drive. I hear a lot of people talk about the noise in the S, after having a "vette" the "S" noise is minimal compared to the roar of the "vette".

The headrest speakers in the "S" is an excellent feature for top down driving.

The cost of the "S" is so affordable compared to the "vette". With a daughter who shows horses and a son in college and a wife who enjoys the manner of life she has become accustomed to, old dad had to gear down a bit. Yet with the need for weekend fun and top down driving, the "S" was my ticket. I haven't been disappointed!

+1 thinks it takes a really good driver to handle a car without torque.
