Heads rolled at CBS today for trying to influence the last Presidential election with lies. Somehow I think they deserve more punishment than that. Hopefully they'll be blackballed throughout the industry.

Michael Moore on the other hand won an award for lying last night. The problem is the vote was cast online and anyone with a floating IP could set up a small script program and vote as many times and as often as they wanted.

Michael Moore deserves some of the same for the lies he told, for the unjustified division he sought to cast on the public by using the same tactics. The easiest way is to boycott any sponsors, film making or distribution companies that promote Mr. Moores lying ways. Personally I'd just feed him some more and let the cholesterol get him.

It's about time people started reacting to the slimey sleazy and untruthful tactics used by liars like Michael Moore.

Not at all lig. These people tried to subvert an election. The intentionally used their position and influence as members of the press to influence a Presidential campaign. When you do that, your not a good American no matter whose party you like.

They misused thier position, hiding under the guise or a free press and almost got away with it. It may not treason, but it's close.

This is just another example of win by all costs, honor ethics mean nothing. This problem will haunt the Democrats for a long time.

If it's subversion or co-option that is making you type your titles in ALL CAPS then how about those lovely folks @ the Sinclair Broadcasting trying to force that nonsense from the "Swift Boat" group? Wasn't that as slanted as "Farenheit 911" ?

Ironically the Armstrong Williams situation is a perfect example of the Bush administrations' willingness to spread their propaganda masquerading as "free press"

First of all the swift boat veterans were a pac group, not a member of the free press. We all took what they had to say with a political grain of salt. I spent my time in Vietnam too and know all about "the 3 strike rule" Had I been wounded twice instead of once, I would have used it and come home too.

And sure - according to the tax laws the "Swift Boat" fellows are a PAC - but if you believe that nobody in the Bush administration had a thing to do with them then I've got a few bridges to sell you.

And I can't wait to hear your rebuttal re: Karl Rove and Armstrong Williams (and the rumor mill says that he is not alone in accepting $$$ from the Bush admin. to advance the Bush agenda. They epitomize what you find to be abhorrent about CBS and MM.

I don't know what Rove's done other than to run a very successful campaign. He's no different than his counterparts on the other side.

I'm not that familiar with armstrong williams. Isn't he a radio talk show host?

Michael Moore tried to present lies as facts and sell them as gospel. His liberal friends in the entertainment industry who helped present him as gospel are equally as guilty. Fortunately in our society, if I don't like your product or what you represent I can boycott you, your company, your sponsors and in my own little way make you feel the hurt. I encourage anyone who feels that way from either side to remember that in the private sector, money counts. I don't watch CBS, the money spent by advertisers there is wasted on me.

You know Lig I'll bet you and I share more beliefs than we find adversarial, but we're just like the press, the adversarial ones are more fun.

The funny thing is that I live in an area so liberal there is no way I could ever get elected. I love guns and red meat. We probably have a *lot* in common.
