Some nice cars Matt. I like the old 356 as well - saw you took lots of pixs of it.

To show you how small the world is the MGA (#51) was raced at Sebring in 1957. I've met the person who set up the dealership that entered it (David Ash, a well known racer who franchised MG dealers up and down the east coast) and I've met one of the two racers who drove it (Gus Ehrman). It placed 2nd in class. And I've met the current owner Mike Eaton. Small world.

Dave,

There were several other 356's there as well, but this one was the nicest IMO. Also the reason I took so many is because the 356 is the Plant Pixie's favorite car.

On the other note: Wow. It is a small world. COOL.

The "brain child" of Katie's Coffee House at 760 Walker Road, Great Falls. It starts at some ridiculous hour close to O'Dark Thirty (let's call that sunrise) and goes until the other businesses in this little "strip mall" open at around 9:00 AM and need the parking spaces.

If one is going west on RT 193 it is in a little strip mall / professional center on the south side of RT 193 (behind the Arby's) just past the light at the intersection at State Road 681 (the Shell station is at that intersection.

I have run into one other one of the times that I have gone. It draws really high end cars (in terms of dollars, not character) IMHO, with a few very noteworthy exceptions.

Yes, I've met some other S2K owners there. I think it's fun to go hang out. I believe it ends in Oct, though, so you need to catch it soon. The parking area is just on the left past the intersection of Walker Rd and Georgetown Pike in downtown Great Falls, going toward Route 7. You can't miss it. It's 7-9 AM Saturdays. Get there early, because the lot fills up fast!

Cars and Coffee got a little notariety it didn't want this weekend when one of the participants did an endo on 495 in his Ferrari and it wound up in Exotic Wreck of the Day on Jalopnik.

Hope the driver is okay, but that looks pretty nasty.

I love reading some of the comments below the article.

there should be a special license to drive anything over 300 hp.
The guy was obviously speeding. All tossers should learn the highway isn't a race track !
This driver deserves the crash.
because obviously this guy was there and watched the whole thing....

Yeah all the comments were a bit snarky. Noone seem the least bit concerned for the drivers condition....

Cheers
