I woke up early last Saturday (which is very unusual for me). Our power was out and I guess that it was too warm to sleep without A/C, after the storms left over a million households without power in the Mid-Atlantic region. I decided to go to Cars & Coffee in Great Falls, VA. Unfortunately, there were two problems with this: First off because there was no power, there was NO coffee. Secondly, there were not a lot of vehicles. It is anyone's guess was it because peoples alarms did not go off as this is an early morning event ? Or as I mentioned to an NSX driver was it because many of the people that can afford these high end cars do not have the common sense required to open their garage doors when the power is out and their remote does not work? 
With that out of the way here are a few pictures that I thought were worth taking.

I'd say it had more to do with no power and plenty of very large trees down to cope with. C & C were probably not high on the priority list that morning.

I regret not getting a close up of the items on the shelf of the door in the VW camper. But there was a woman talking to the owner, reminiscing about her child hood days in a similar VW that was kind of in the way of that.
All the items in this vintage VW were from circa 1966. Red plaid Thermos bottles, etc. Ironically, I don't think the owner was as old as the bus.

But there was also unbelievable heat and humidity. By 9:00 it was 93*F with 76% humidity.
There were well over one hundred cars there. Here are a few that I thought were worthy of some pictures.
