Maybe, but driving top down on Old Dominion with the early morning cool breeze and all those trees was really, really nice. And having that silver Shelby above behind me was, too. We had a little run for a bit. He was a bit snooty, though. I mentioned to him that I was the one in front of him and he said "Oh yeah, the yellow car."

Well, he got a little taste when I took off to pass a slow moving car. Very few places to pass, since it's a windy two-lane road. So when I got the chance, I stepped on it! He zoomed around it right behind me. I think he was jealous.

I heard about this and this is closer to me than the other 4 C&C I go to. What day do they meet here, Matt?

Here are a few of the lower brow vehicles from the Burger King Drive in south of Manassas, Virginia that takes place at a much more civilized time of about 4:00 PM
IMO, the Cars & Coffee in Great Falls is TERRIFIC as far as high end and some real classic pieces (if one wishes to wake up that early). The Manassas meet draws a wider variety and types of vehicles. Everything from "bucket T's" to fire trucks, T-birds, Vettes, Vipers, classic hot rods from the 30's, 40's 50's and muscle cars, even an occasional Lambo or Ferrari.

Especially perhaps this coming Saturday morning, 30 Jun, where the low morning temperature is forecast to be 76*F with a high of 99*F (with a heat index of 110*F). Gee, I may have to set my alarm and make it to Cars & Coffee this week.

I understand. I have only ever driven a Corvette once. The bad news it was a mid 70's version (which if it was in NC being taken to the market as a Hog would have brought a good price) which handled like a pig in slop. IMHO once a "sports car's" weight approaches two tons the word "handling" pretty much goes out the window with few exceptions.
That is one of the reasons that if I could justify it, I would buy and Ariel Atom

Jim's sting ray (1972) handles extremely well. I just cannot get accustomed to the torque after owning an mg. I prefer the lower torque to the rumbling muscle cars, but his corvette really handles well in curves and is a neat car to drive. I've only driven a few corvettes in my lifetime, but I thought they all handled well. I'm surprised at your comments.
