Well today I picked up a can of Wheel Wax. I went to Advance Auto Parts which is listed as carrying it, and I couldn't find it near the waxes & wheel stuff. I asked at the desk, and they checked the computer. It told them that 6 cans were in stock. They couldn't find them anywhere (no one there had heard of it before either). But finally, they found them in a display near the front counters. It was on sale for $9.88 instead of $12.88. I bought one. I'll report back within a week or so. Those attending the Tomcatt run can see the results for themselves, before and after the run.

Do you anticipate useing your brakes on that drive?

I am looking forward to comparing Wheel Wax to the Dupont Teflon Wheel Cleaner that I have been using for about the last year.

I will pm you when I get back tonight - off to an autox in a few minutes.

The slower car in the reflection is no more....it was sold by the previous owner (s2ksimon) and promptly crashed...

As far as I'm concerned, the verdict on Wheel Wax is in.

After the Tomcatt run, yesterday's run down and up down Sam's favorite - Rt. 164, 2 trips to work & back, and assorted shorter drives, my wheels were almost like they were just washed. What little grime there was wiped off very easily.

Unbelieveable stuff. It gets my business form now on.

If you can find it, buy it!

P.S. I only had time for one coat instead of the recommended 2 coats. I'll do that next time.

I have now looked for Wheel Wax in three states and can not find it. Their web site claims that Advance Auto Parts carries it. I know the manager of my local Advanced Auto Parts store. He looked at me like I had three heads. I checked another local store as well as stores in NY and Ohio. No luck.

Yesterday while I had my car up on jack stands to change the tranny and diff lubes I pulled all the wheels off and gave them a proper bath with the DuPont wheel cleaner which I have been happy with so far. It will be interesting to see how they look when we arrive at the Nor'Easter.

Matt,

Based on Jonas' experience I bought a can of it yesterday at Advanced Auto Parts here in Jersey. The people in the store didn't have a clue, but there was a little display on the counter with it. It's $9.95 for a small can.

Do you want me to pick up a can for you and bring it to the NorEaster?
