Default Which can you cope with better?

Which do you have more of a tolerance for 100+ degrees of heat/humidity or sub-zero bone chilling cold? We here in the northeast have been in a deep freeze and I notice people have diffrent opinions of it. The farther north you go the less complaining you hear but even people up here get sick of the cold. I love the cold weather sub-zero temps don't bother me at all, but the heat/humidity shuts me right down. How about you?

I just can't stand going to bed with cold feet. So it's sweat for me.

I like the heat better, but I don't mind the cold in small doses. When it stays very cold for very long periods, I quickly tire of it.

The weather that I dislike most is the cold (35*), damp, rainy weather of early spring and late fall. I find that weather bone chilling. I can't ever seem to warm up from it.

A bit OT, but on a related note...my parents (88 and 82) have decided to move to FL - Melbourne, where my sister now lives - later this year. They need the warmer weather in winter and want to relocate while they can fairly easily. I'm not leaving the DC area for at least another three years. Anyway, I understand it but I'm pretty bummed out. We are very close and they've lived here for over 40 years. So I'm having trouble coping with that...

Edit...On the bright side, it will give me more reasons to go down there and enjoy some of that snowbird weather myself.

I definitely like the heat better. I find it easier to stay cool than to warm up. I don't mind brisk days WITHOUT wind and snow.

Deb,

Those 3 years will go by fast. And like you said, now you can take road trips to Fla.
