Default Cambridge MA

I'll be in Cambridge for much of next week. This will be only the second time I've been back since college, almost 20 years ago. I'll be staying quite close to MIT, so it will be interesting to walk around there and check it out now.

Fall is really the only season I liked in New England.

Hey, you can meet up with Legal Bill

Forget about Lainey, however....she doesn't like cities

Let's just say I prefer, quaint, smaller, easier to find our way around areas. The less hustle and bustle in the area we spend time in, the better we like it.

Mike if you head south of Boston for any reason, be sure to let us know.

I doubt if I'll have much free time. And I won't have a car.

Years ago, when I worked in private industry, we had a conference in Boston. Stayed at the Copley Plaza Hotel, which had a great bar scene. We went over to MIT, where some of the scientists worked. Very interesting.

Depending on when you were last in town, you will see a lot of newly constructed buildings in the high traffic areas. Malls, hotels, office buildings and condos have sprung up like weeds in many parts of Cambridge. There are still many sections that look the same however.

Development and architecture is a matter of personal taste. I'm not too crazy about the new buildings.

I'm staying in one of the new buildings, 6 Cambridge Center (Marriot Residence Inn). Just got back in from walking to Central Square. Nothing stays the same, that's for sure. Except that Mary Chung is still the hostess at Mary Chung's. It was amazing I recognized her from 20 years ago. Scary.

I think Poloroid used to be where the Cambridge Center complex is now.

I'm sleeping better at night knowing that Mike is now on the east coast.
