Default Buying jeans....

Why does buying new jeans have to be such an unpleasant shopping experience for women?

My jeans are tired. I need new ones. Of course they no longer make the style that I purchased the last time, and I really, really liked that style. I don't like the style that comes all the way up to my waist, and I certainly can't wear the style that rides so low on the hips.I want the in between style and I know they are out there. I just can't find ones that fit me. I don't want jeans that are already faded and almost torn. Mine already look like that. Why would I pay money for that?

I've been to our local Lee outlet, I've been to JC Penney, came close at JC Penney, but no luck yet. The fact that I need the Petite length seems to limit my selection even more.

When Rick needs new jeans, he says, "Honey can you get me a pair of jeans while you are out?" I buy them, they fit him. I can try on five different pairs of jeans , in the same size and chances are, none of them will fit the same way, if they fit at all. Oh and who is tagging the sizes on the jeans? There are brands out there that are way bigger than the size indicates. They aren't fooling anyone.

I'm sure the guys can't totally relate to this, but I'd bet you've seen your +1 come home and do this: after shopping for jeans.

So if you see me at Spring Fling in jeans that are ratty and torn, know that I didn't go out and spend good money for that look. I just couldn't find new jeans.

The Levi stores did a good job of offereing many sizes and cuts, plus they ahd a "build your own jeans" service that would tailor a pair just for you. The Levi store near me went out. I don't know if they still have any open.

I tired a couple pairs of Levi's on the other night....that was a no go too. We've got a local store that carries lots of Levi's. They are on my list of places to stop, as they may have a better selection.

We used to have a Levi's store in Fall River. That's gone too.

Various shapes fit different brands. Before I acquired this liquid grain storage facility, I loved Levis and hated Wrangler Jeans. Now I go to Vanity Fair to buy the Timber Creek Jeans by Wrangler. The Levis just dont feel right anymore.

No low riders for me. Those are for taller, skinny really young girls, like the ones in your picture in the other thread. Mid rise is fine....going to try again tonight. I'm a relatively small woman, and it appears our area doesn't cater to the smaller people. I'll see a huge stack of jeans and none in the smaller sizes. I don't want "junk" but I don't want to purchase high priced jeans at the fancy stores either, I just can't see spending big bucks on jeans.

I don't buy jeans. I just wait for others to give them to me.

I'm in need of a couple of pairs of jeans myself...
I put on twenty pounds and now have 'muffin top' when I wear my old ones.

I'll go to Ann Taylor Loft, Express, and NY & Co.
I may pay more money, but I'll get what I want---
a pair that fits my waist, looks good, and are comfortable.

I'll have the sales person help me as well.
They usually can 'size you up' just by looking at you.

I practically live in my jeans...and I skimp on so many other things,
I feel I can splurge on something I will wear most of the time.
