Of course you can take it home with you. You pack it, you put it in a sealed bag in your suitcase which you then check (or you send it home via USPS or UPS or Fedex)

Leave the empty bottle (you won't get your deposit back anyway).
we get money back on all bottles up here 
Just load up the trunk and head to beer store and cash them in

Just noticed that the 1.75l bottles of Maker's bought across the river in KY do not have that deposit labeling......
Checked all 6 bottles and none have it!
