I always like the movie "Vanishing Point" which is practically one long chase scene.

I don't get into chase scenes but I did enjoy the circular racing up the parking stucture in "Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift". I got a kick out of the drifting in that movie.

there was a movie in the mid 70's called "11 harrowhouse road"
not a particularly memorable movie with one exception.
at one point the good guys take off in a lotus europa and wind up running through a corn field. made quite a neat little mower it did.

Various chase scenes from Ronin. There were Audis, BMW M5s, + an old school S Class Mercedes.

Ronin has some of the best chase scenes ever!

Also love the BMW short films series.

I agree with Buitt, though they were barely able to keep up with that VW bug that kept showing up. But the Charger guys were great drivers: they kept stopping to replace the hubcaps that kept flying off.
Actually, the first time I saw that was on the Ed Sullivan Show. Anyone else remember that?
Here's one to rival Bulitt: Boxitt

I'll never forget going to see Bullit when it 1st came out. The chase scenes were so realistic that I could feel my stomach floating. I don't get the same effect watching it on tv, but still the best I've seen.

I experienced the same thing watching it at the drive-in.

Bullitt is my favorite.

Ronin and French Connection are also good.

Vanishing Point.

I saw the movie as a sneak preview with the uncut nude scene. It's like the chase in Bullitt for an entire movie. I highly recommend you rent it if you haven't seen it.

Since the initial post doesn't require cars, see the first scene of the latest James Bond movie, Casino Royale.

LB,

I agree that chase scene in the new Bond movie is something I want to watch again, probably several times.

AJ, boxitt is a good one.

Everyone else, thanks for the suggestions, I'll rent them soon.
